ClearWater
Simple, predictable, budgetable

You Pay for the Systems You Connect, Not the People You Serve

Most utility software charges by the connection, so your bill grows every time your community does. ClearWater does not. You pay one flat price based on how many of your existing systems it reads, and that price is the same in July as it is in January.

The plans

Three Plans, and You Can Move Between Them

A "connected system" is one of the services you already pay for that ClearWater reads: your Mission SCADA, your Badger BEACON meters, and so on. Connect one, connect all of them. Nothing here is billed by the meter, by the tag, by the alert or by the seat.

Monitor

One System

For a utility that wants its SCADA or its meters off a clunky portal and onto one readable screen.

$349per month
$4,188 a year. Two months free if you pay annually.
  • ✓One connected system, either SCADA or metering
  • ✓Every tank, well and reading on one page
  • ✓Alerts to Slack and email, day or night
  • ✓The weekly board summary, sent on its own
  • ✓Read-only board view
  • ✓Unlimited people. We do not charge per seat
Get in Touch
Comply

Everything

For a utility that files with the state every month and would like that to stop being somebody's evening.

$999per month
$11,988 a year. Two months free if you pay annually.
  • ✓Everything in Operate, with unlimited connected systems
  • ✓Daily operator entry on a phone, built for the plant, not the desk
  • ✓Contact time and inactivation ratio calculated as you type
  • ✓Monthly state reports generated into the agency’s own forms
  • ✓Breach alerts the moment a reading crosses a limit
  • ✓A full revision history behind every filed number

Each Additional Water System

$149 / month

If you operate satellite systems as well as your own, each one gets its own plants, its own compliance and its own reports, under the same login. Small systems that could never afford software of their own get it through the utility that runs them.

Onboarding, Once

$2,500

We map your SCADA tags to the names your operators actually use, connect your meters, import your history, and set up your state report templates so the first month files correctly. One fee, not a running services bill.

Why flat

The State Does Not Care How Many Connections You Have

A 300-person system files the same monthly report as a 3,000-person system. The same contact-time calculation, the same turbidity limits, the same signature at the bottom. A tank falling at two in the morning is the same emergency either way, and it takes the same software to catch it.

So charging by the connection would be charging you for something that has almost nothing to do with the work being done or the value you get. It would also punish you for growing, which seems a strange thing for a utility’s software to do.

What does vary is how many systems you want brought together. That is the honest unit, so that is what we price on.

Worth knowing

Above roughly 5,000 connections or 25 monitored sites, we will talk about a custom number instead. Not because the software struggles, but because flat pricing stops being fair to either of us at that size.

Questions we get

The Things People Ask Before They Sign

What counts as a connected system?

Any service you already pay for that ClearWater reads on your behalf. Mission SCADA is one. Badger BEACON metering is one. Your ticketing, your phone records, your door access and your billing exports each count as one if you want them pulled in. Your own plant records, the ones your operators type in, are never counted as a connected system and never cost extra.

Do we need new hardware?

No. ClearWater reads the equipment you already have, through the accounts you already pay for. There is nothing to install at the plant, nothing to wire, and no change to how your SCADA or meters work. If we ever could not read something, we would tell you before you signed rather than after.

What happens if we start small and want more later?

You move up a plan and pay the difference from that month. There is no new onboarding fee and no migration, because it is the same system either way. Plenty of utilities start on Monitor to get the alerts working, then move to Comply when the next reporting deadline comes around.

Is the compliance reporting really included, or is it an upsell?

It is the Comply plan, and everything in it is included at that price: the daily entry screens, the contact-time engine, the generated state reports, the breach alerts and the audit history. We do not sell the calculation and then charge separately for the form it goes on.

How long is the contract?

A year, and you can pay monthly or annually. Annual gets you two months free. If you want budget certainty further out, we will hold the price flat on a three-year term, which several utilities have preferred to a discount.

What does onboarding actually involve on our side?

A couple of hours of an operator’s time, spread over a week or two. We need read access to your existing accounts, a list of what your sites are actually called, and a look at how you file today. We do the mapping, the history import and the report setup. You check that the names and the numbers look right.

Who owns the data?

You do, all of it, including everything ClearWater derives from it. You can export any of it at any time, and if you ever leave you take it with you in a form you can actually open.

Tell Us What You Run and We Will Tell You the Number

Every utility is a little different. Send us what systems you have and how many water systems you operate, and we will come back with a straight answer, not a discovery process.
